Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an American gymnast was once a part of both the Fierce 5 2012 and Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic Gymnastics teams. Aly Raisman was awarded three gold medals at the 2012 Olympics which took place in London. In addition, she took her bronze on balance beam. In 2012, she became one of the few American athlete to win the most number of medals in the Olympics. Her gold medal at the Olympics in 2016 marked the second consecutive gold medal for the American team. She was, along with teammates Gabby and Gabby the first Americans to be able to complete this achievement. Additionally, she won silver medals for the all-around individual event and in the floor. In the three years between the Olympic Games she won her break was taken. She was also a part of the gold medal winning American teams at two World Championships. She learned gymnastics from the age of 2 and her favourite event is Floor Exercise. Aly has a strong support for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to honor her mother who passed away from cancer. She plans to make a career in fashion. It is also her dream to increase the length of her leotards and her socks. The book she is working on is called Fierce to be published in the coming months.
